My name is Chris Van Antwerp, and I am proud to be the P.E. teacher at South Elementary!
Along with having one of the best jobs in the world,
I am busy at home too!
I am married to Kim Van Antwerp, a 4th grade teacher
at Jamestown, and together we have five amazing
children; Caleb, Sydney, Skyler, Ashlee and Luke.
Having five children keeps us busy!
I have been teaching P.E. in Hudsonville for fourteen years
now, nine here at South Elementary and five at the
middle school level. Being a lifelong learner is very
important to me. I have a Master's degree in
Educational Leadership and I am always looking for
ways to enhance my education.
In my spare time I enjoy coaching, spending time at
the gym, running, attending my children's activities
(cheerleading, volleyball, cross country theatre/music programs, track, etc.), and watching sports! I am a fan of the sports teams we have here in Michigan. Sometimes that is a good thing, and sometimes…not so good. ;-)
We enjoy traveling and plan to continue doing so in the future!
